The Way Forward
The United Workers Party – Team Dominica is committed to bringing meaningful change and much needed progressive development to Dominica. Over the two decades of DLP rule, our country has deteriorated economically, socially and morally. Real GDP growth have averaged about 1.5 percent per annum, well below the 6 - 8 percent required to lift our people from poverty and to set the stage for continued development.
Our young people have been largely ignored, with most finding it increasingly difficult to find good paying jobs. Our health system has been completely compromised and has not kept up with the demands of its people. So too has our education system.
There is a growing sense of despair and frustration among the populace as this government have failed to live up to a promise of a better Dominica.
As Political Leader of the largest opposition party in Dominica, I am committed to leading a capable group of Dominicans to bring much needed development to our country. Over the next several months we will continue to strengthen our Party and reach out to Dominicans at home and abroad for your support.
Our goal is to regain the reins of government and together build a strong, vibrant economy in which every Dominican can seek to prosper, gain wealth and live a quality life. This is my solemn promise to you.

A sustainable Economy
Will create a new sustainable Nature Island Economy with agriculture, tourism, housing, transportation, renewable energy, ICT, the cultural industries and a water industry as major pillars

Economic Growth
Will grow the economy by 7% per year, create 12,000 new jobs by 2025… And as the starting point in ensuring an economy that works for all, we will increase the minimum wage and old age pensions by no less than 50%

Real Change from galloping unemployment, grinding poverty, disappearance of the middle class, the lowest wages in the English-speaking Caribbean, rising crime and degradation of social services.

Real Change from the smallest and weakest economy in the independent states of the English-speaking Caribbean.

Real Change to ensure that our agriculture secures our health and wellness by making us self-sufficient in natural food and drink and providing plant-based solutions for our medical needs

Real Change from Government that presided over a decline in cruise and stay-over arrivals and woeful under-performance of the tourism sector.

Energy
Real Change from a Government cannot facilitate a reduction of energy costs so as to achieve a reduction of electricity tariffs and thereby secure an increase in the competitiveness and viability of businesses operations.

Real Change to make us strong – Nature Island Strong – continuously improving our resilient nature island society, dutifully building a sustainable nature island economy and generating wealth like we have never seen before, for the benefit of all nature island people
